Sync a roster from Google Classroom to GradeCam Go!
Note: Currently this feature is encouraged for teachers using a free or paid teacher account. School and district accounts should continue using their current method of syncing. If you are currently a part of a school/district subscription, an admin on the account will need to activate this feature for the whole school/district account.
2. Select the "Login" link and choose "Teachers & Administrators" from the drop-down menu.

3. Select "Continue with Google" to log in using your Google credentials.

4. Select the "Sync Now" link when prompted to sync your rosters from Google Classroom.

7. Confirm by selecting the "Done" link.

8. The class will appear in the Classes tab with the Google Classroom icon next to it.

Note: Classes will be synced each time you login to GradeCam.
9. Syncing additional classes or disconnecting a class can be managed in the Settings under Google Classroom.

Note: This only manages which classes are syncing. Adding or deleting students in a class must be done in Google Classroom.
10. Select "Manage Classes" to make changes.

11. Either "Add" (1) a new class or "Disconnect" (2) a synced class.

Note: If you disconnect syncing between GradeCam and Google Classroom, the class lists will stay in GradeCam but no longer be updated through the sync. Changes to the class list can be made in GradeCam independent of Google Classroom. However, if you turn back on the syncing option the Google Classroom version will overwrite any changes you made in GradeCam while it was not being synced.
Our school populates the class lists through a combined import. We had a teacher do the Google Classroom sync on accident. Essentially, it replaced the rosters and classes from us with the Google Classroom rosters. Now, even when we disconnect the sync, we still see the rosters from Google. From the Gradecam administrator panel, I can still see the correct classes associated with the teacher. How do I get the rosters from the combined import to again appear for her classes?
Several teachers at my school (myself included) are not seeing the "Google Classroom" tab under settings even though we signed in via Google instead of username and password. Is there a way to fix this?
I'm having the same issue described above by Rachel Hubbard -- no Google Classroom tab under the Settings menu.
Hi Justin,
If you are not seeing the Google Classroom option, then it is not allowed by the admin on the account. They would have to give you permission to sync the Google Classroom rosters.
I see your district has imported rosters for you. If you would sync rosters with Google Classroom, the student IDs will not match and you will need to have different forms for Google rosters than GradeCam rosters. It may be confusing for you to have two different set of rosters. You are not able to edit Google Classroom rosters within GradeCam but can only edit and change in Google Classroom.
If you want this option, it would have to be a decision by the admin. Again, this will create duplicate rosters in your account.
Regards,
~Donna
