How Do I delete students from last term?

I teach a semester class and I still have last semester students.  How can I do a mass delete from last semester?  I have new classes and new students and need to start over.

Hi Kimberly,

You can remove your students from the classes by clicking on the class > check the Select All box > Remove. This will remove your students from this class - if you want to reuse the Class name.

You can click on Classes > check the Select All box and delete all your classes.

Just know that deleting classes and all students will also remove the data associated to those classes.

You will also need to make sure that you use all new student IDs as these are unique to each student and you are not able to reuse the student ID.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,
~Donna

I just want to delete a few students.  So I checked that student but I don't see where the remove button is located.

Good morning, Vincent,

Go to Classes > Choose a class > check the box in front of the student's name > Remove the student from the Class. This will remove the student from the account.

Thank you,
~Donna

Hi Summer,

Can you share with me what you are having trouble with in your account? You mentioned your classes are still there once you delete them. I see a HR and three Math classes in your account.

Are you trying to reuse the same student IDs from last year?

GradeCam was designed to use a unique student ID for each student - usually a district ID - for tracking data year-to-year. We encourage you to use the student unique ID and then you can just use the last 3 or 4 digits for the GradeCam ID on the form when printing. You can create a generic GradeCam ID which can be used year after year for any student but the unique student ID should not be re-used as it is unique to each student.

You can go in and edit each student individually. Just allow GradeCam to pre-fill the wrong student's name - click Done - then go back to that student's name and click on the name to bring up an edit window. From here you can change the student's name. GradeCam sees this year's students as last year's student since they have the same ID.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

~Donna

Summer,

My apologies. I see that you were still connected to the account. I have removed you and now you should be able to remove the classes without them coming back.

Sorry about that! You are not going crazy!

Regards,

~Donna
