Handwritten answers

I'm doing a test run of the new handwritten answer function and when I scan the answer documents it keeps telling me the form cannot be read. I've tried different cameras, I've tried adjusting the lighting.  HELP!  We used the number grid in the past and it has been an issue scanning as well.

Hi Jessica,

If you could send a screenshot of the form under the scan window to support@gradecam.com, that would be helpful. Click on the camera icon to the right and then place a form under the camera. Take a screenshot of the whole computer screen.

Make sure the upper left corner of the form is visible.

Which assignment is this in your account?

Thank you,
~Donna

I'm sorry, I'm really getting frustrated.  It won't let me rescan to take a picture and I've already wasted several students in my classes answer document testing things.  It does scan when the most of the bubbles are filled in, but it is scanning as if they wrote nothing in the handwritten section and then about 10 min. later it changes the answers on the computer and all of a sudden they are there.  This resource was suppose to speed things up for us and i've spent hours trying to figure out how to use it - between the number grids scanning super slow and needing lots of verification (and sometimes scanning that the answer is wrong even though it is bubbled correctly).  and needing more than one page of scan sheets to get an entire test in place.  very frustrated!

When you scan is it saying processing? It may take a few minutes to scan those images because of having to capture the image.

What do you mean when you say "when most bubbles are filled in"? Actually grading numbers is going to require a little more time as GradeCam actually is reading the numbers and checking them - that is why you will see "processing".

I see you are scanning as anonymous. Are these students not in your rosters?

I would be happy to help trouble shoot - screenshots are helpful if you could just take a screenshot of the form under the scan window whether it is scanning or not for you.

Thank you,
~Donna
