Gradecam will only recognize my computer camera and not my document camera

Plug in is up to date and the ladybug recognizes the camera on their video website. What is the deal?

Hi there,
Is this a new issue or it has been working and now it isn't? Do you have the Ladybug software running? What model are you using?

it stopped working in December when beta came out I reuploaded the plugin and now it only recognizes the isight and not the ladybug at all. 265 is the number for the ladybug and I use a mac

You can switch back to GradeCam Insight by choosing that option under the menu on the left upper corner.

If you want to stay on the beta side, then when in the scan window, click on the settings and make sure your camera is chosen in this window. Is your camera listed in the drop down menu?

Can you verify what version of the plugin you have installed? Unplug the camera and shut down the camera. Plug in the camera and then start the computer and see if this reconnects everything but make sure you don't have the Ladybug software start up automatically.

Are the drivers for the document camera up-to-date?

I am having the same issues. I am unable to scan using my document camera. It stopped working when the beta came out. I also use a MacBook but have an AverVision doc camera. My tech department has updated all the drivers on my computer. We still can solve the problem

Hi Amy,
Do you see your camera in the drop down list under your camera settings in the Beta side?

Hi Amy,
If you switch back to GradeCam Insight, do you have the choice in the camera settings on that side?

Make sure you have the latest GradeCam plugin installed: downloads.gradecam.com/?v=beta

Unplug your camera, shut down the computer, plug the camera back in and the boot up the camera.

Hi Amy,
You may want to try and go back to an older plugin: downloads.gradecam.com/?v=1.9

Uninstall the plugins that are installed now before going back to an old plugin. The beta version would not affect this - it may be the updated plugin.

I did as you suggested and it is working now. Thank you for your help.
